Welcome to UOPD's Vacation Watch!
Worried about leaving your near-campus house or apartment over the break? Register your address with the University of Oregon Police Department Vacation Watch program before you go.
During the academic break, UOPD regularly checks registered vacant residences. Any packages left on the porch are safely stored at the UOPD until you return. To stop U.S. mail delivery, contact the United States Postal Service (USPS). While this service can't guarantee that a property won't be the target of crime, police presence helps create a deterrent and provides quick notification to you of any suspicious activity.
Register online below or complete a registration form at the UOPD station at 2141 East 15th Ave. The information provided remains strictly confidential, for police use only in checking on the security of residences.
Through the Vacation Watch program and with the cooperation of students, UOPD intends to make near-campus neighborhoods safer and more secure during Winter and Spring vacations. The Winter 2024-2025 Vacation Watch program will occur between December 9th, 2024 - January 5th, 2025. For questions and/or retrieving any stored packages, please contact: Lead CSO Pierre-Michael Francia @ pierre.francia@uopd.org or Director Carl Peaster @ carl.peaster@uopd.org.
